After taking what was to be a short hiatus from my 18-year career in the computer software industry, I discovered the vast majority of the market had collapsed at the time I was ready to return. Thus I found myself officially unencumbered by the formal restraints of employment. What a prime opportunity, I decided, to explore a lifelong passion - stained glass - which had always been a beautiful mystery to me. And, I must admit, I was somewhat disenchanted initially, just as one might be upon learning the secret behind a favorite card trick. Stained glass is a craft - a fairly accessible craft I realized - not quite as magical as I had imagined. However, after spending virtually every day for the past few years working with and learning about the dynamic and versatile qualities of glass as an artistic medium, I am delighted to report that the magic is indeed real, and my passion for it stronger than ever. I encourage everyone to discover the wonder of glass.
